Kellan and Mommy's Trip to Indy

 

Kellan and I had a special trip, just the two of us to see our dear friends, the Warnock's. Plane tickets were so expensive we thought it would be best for just 2 of us to go and it was a good excuse to get some one on one time with my oldest!  We had a blast!  Kellan and Grant hadn't seen each other in a year and they just picked up where they left off, just as Jill and I do. So sweet to see their relationship. I don't think there was one argument, fight or time out the 4 days we were there. Just lots of laughter and fun!  To top it off the weather was picture perfect. 60s and sunny, so lots of outdoor time.  Ellie, Grant's sister and Henry's age jumped into the action as well. 

The plane ride was a hoot. It was almost like it was Kellan's first one. He didn't seem to remember too much from when we went to visit them 2 years ago. He would've been about 2 1/2. He had the window seat and was mesmerized. Saying things like: "Mommy are we going to blast off to space?" We had many people around us giggling at his silly comments.  So much easier to travel with an almost 5 year old!

Kellan kindly shared his Leapster with Grant while Kellan enjoyed playing Jill's Nook.

 

Saturday we went to a birthday party for twins of Jill's friend/coworker. She is a bit like Martha Steward on steroids when it comes to planning a party. The pictures can't even do it justice as to the level of detail put into the Circus themed party. So fun and creative!  I've never been to a party where I take home 10X more gifts for ourselves than I brought!

It was hard to keep the boys from sneaking over to the candy and toy tables. There were gift bags to fill up with whatever they wanted. How fun!

And then there was Bailey!  Kellan loved Bailey and was always petting him, laying with him and just giving him love. He is such a sweet and gentle boy!  

Ellie enjoyed Kellan's presence and vice versa!

It started snowing very heavily the morning we were to leave which made me a bit nervous. It lasted about 30 mins or so. It was really coming down. Especially since the day before it was 60 degrees.  No delays!

 

We spent the last morning doing some shrinky dinks and just hanging out.  Our return flight had no problems. Kellan enjoyed it just as much and was such a good boy. It was a great trip!! We were happy to see Henry and Daddy, we missed them!!
