G & G Burke Time

Grandma always has fun presents waiting for the boys when they come visit. She knows how to make Kellan happy, just get him a Lego kit. Now let's see how well she can put them together!

Henry enjoying his very blue Cotton Candy ice cream at Mitchell's. A favorite place to go when in Cleveland. It's the best homemade ice cream!!

If it goes in this blue, it's gotta come out blue too, right?! :)

I had my 20 year class reunion Saturday night, so we left the boys with the perfect babysitters and went.  It was at a restaurant/bar in Valley City.  We(I) had a lot of fun catching up with old friends. Tim was able to make some friends with the other hubbies. It's hard to believe 20 years have gone by already.  Most classmates have children and are married, some more than once. Many still live in the area we grew up in. We stayed and chatted for 5 hours, the time went so fast!

Cousin Sam came over and played with the boys. We took them all swimming, then they of course had to get their wrestling time in. We visited cousin Ben at Mitchell's by the lake for some more ice cream.

Summer Fun at Grandma's

Grandma always has something fun planned for the whole Lanz family when we all get together. Instead of going anywhere, we stayed "home" and played many different things. Mostly outside since it  was such great weather. We started off with brunch to get us all going. Love this picture, Henry attempting to make the peace sign just like big cousins, Devan, Brendan, Nick and Noah.

Henry trying to figure out the art of jump rope. Breanne does it well.
Jump Breanne!
Next game: Red Rover, RedRrover, let Nick come over!  Brett seemed to dominate this game, not sure why?!

Grandpa taking a break with his buddies: Kellan, Henry and Bradley

My parent's yard is something I love! Just look at the size! The kids love it!

My wonderful vet brother kissing a frog! True love of his profession!
Grandma and another of her fun games: bowling for presents. What grandkid doesn't like a present or 2 from Grandma?!

Don't konw what this game is called, but it calls for closeness! They are passing a circle pretzel from one end of the pretzel stick to the other.
Looks like Brendan and Kellan are doing it well!
After dinner, we celebrated Noah's birthday(14) and Jayde's(9) birthday which are just a couple weeks apart.

Just like cousin Nick!
Not sure what you call this game either, but it entails 4 cousins attempting to pick up their Uncle Brett. Hmmmm...

Just a couple photos taken by my cameraman, Kellan at the end of a very fun-filled day!

The Lanz Fam

We had a family friend come to my parents house to get a few family photos. A little more casual than I was hoping for but we got some good ones, especially of the boys. It was great to just get an updated Lanz family photo since it had been 3 years (before Henry and Bradley). Everyone was fairly cooperative.
Lots of head tilts going on here

So loving...
Can't get Kellan to tone down the "cheese"

A Kellan Reunion

Lodi Corn Festival Parade with G'ma and G'pa

We arrived at G & G Lanz's home Thursday afternoon so anxious to see our Kellan.  Kellan had stayed with Auntie Darlene and Uncle Jeff since the weekend before when we came home for cousin Nick's baptism.  Since Tim and I both had to work Mon, Tues and Weds, we thought it would be the perfect time to have Kellan stay and get some quality cousin time in.  He had so much fun and was such a big boy.  We Skyped a couple times, talked only twice a day. It felt so odd to have only one child at home. Henry didn't quite know what to do with himself without big brother home. He cried one time, missing his "Kewin".  Kellan had one big cry one evening Auntie Darlene reported, but overall was a super good boy!  I think we've started a new summer tradition.  So we arrived and we were greeted with big hugs and kisses from Kellan. He said a few times "Mommy, I was missin you" (then my heart melted!).  I think about 10 minutes went by until the first argument over a toy started between the brother.(but not before they gave each other some lovin)  Oh well....

Kellan ready with his candy bag

The parade started with a very long line of firetrucks that blew their horns non-stop. We had to cover our ears they were so loud.  It was really hot outside, so many of them had sprayers and squirt guns going off.

Henry's fave

Grandpa had to buy a box of fresh, hot donuts at the festival before we left, so what a perfect bedtime snack: donuts and milk.  Yum!!

Happy 4th!

Daddy and his boys
Mommy and her boys

We headed to the annual Leesburg 4th of July parade and just about melted in the hot sun. We tried to find a bit of shade along the street. The boys didn't seem to notice since they were too busy looking for candy!
The boys loved the big tanker

Watch out boys, they'll lock you up if you're bad!

It's a good parade when you have police cars and fire trucks! And let's not forget about the candy that they throw too!

Henry loves anything with pigs these days, so this was a big hit!

We had the Wood Family over for a cook-in since it was so miserably hot outside. Henry and Brennan getting cozy on the couch.
