Summer Randomness

Henry loved his first movie at the big theater.  The area theaters offer free movies during the week.  We went with Wyatt and Wesley Blair and Ollie and Lily O'Shaughnessy and saw Rio. An animated movie about a parrot.  Very colorful and cute!  We got some end seats so Henry was able to move around a bit along with the 2 other little ones.  2 hours is a long time to ask them to stay seated.  Kellan, Wyatt and Ollie sat and watched very well!  We had plenty of snacks too.

We all went blueberry picking but I failed to get any pictures other then this one.  Another hot day and the kids had very limited attention span for picking the blueberries. Kellan and Ollie did a great job sticking with it.  The others, not so much.  We got enough to enjoy for a couple days.

Happy Father's Day!!

We let Daddy sleep in for Father's Day and the boys excitedly greeted him with their presents for him...homemade cards. I love this age where making crafts is so fun and fulfilling!  I don't think this stage will last too long. Kellan made a book about Daddy filled with drawings, pictures, stickers and questions I helped him fill in about his favorites, things he likes to do, etc. Very cute!  Henry's daycare helped him make a frame that has Timothy in bold and loving adjectives for each letter. We spent the day relaxing, playing, going to church and the pool. We love you so much, you are the world's best Daddy!!

We made Daddy all of his favorites for dinner: grilled steak fillet, mashed potatoes, grilled veggies, cheesy bread, cake and ice cream.  Kellan helped me decorate this premade heart cake using all of our sprinkles. Lovely!

Housewarming

Our first cookout in the new house. We had our dear friends: Blair's, O'Shaughnessy's, and Luhring's.  They brought all the food to us which was a super house warming gift!! The weather was perfect to grill out and for the kids to run around outside (and do laps inside). We didn't have to all cram into our small kitchen and living room like in the old house. Fun times!

Leesburg Car Show has always been a favorite of ours. Lots of old cars lining the downtown streets, old music playing, people just casually strolling around.  It's usually a beautiful summer evening, like tonight.  This is our first downtown event we had to drive to since we no longer live in walking distance. It felt weird and kind of sad.

Kellan and Henry inspected the bear, gave him high fives, then decided to run from him! He does look pretty real, but completely friendly!

Ice cream, ice cream, we all scream for ice cream!  No better way to end the warm summer night, then have an ice cream cone.  Cheers to us!
