Trick or Treat, Smell My Feet...

Henry doing is spooky ghost imitation
More spiderwebs boys
The  boys really had fun helping me with the decos

Black dog also part of the decorations
The boys were so excited about Halloween this year. Perfect ages! We decorated the night before b/c Hurricane Sandy made a presence and only would have blown all of our decorations down. A few spider webs, a couple ghosts, a bat, come pumpkins and we'll call it spooky! Time to Trick or Treat!
Sir Knight Henry!
Super Ninja Kellan!

Ready to save the world!
I had to work until 5, so I hurried home to help the boys with their costumes and to get ready for the big night.  I came home and found Tim laying on the couch in agony.  He apparently had done something to his knee earlier in the day playing BB. I gave him a big bag of ice, some Advil and told him to stay put while I ran the boys out for some Trick or Treating. I put the bowl of candy on the porch with a note to take 1.  Off we went.  First time in our new neighborhood, so lots of kids out. So fun!
The best part!  Looking at and sorting their candy piece by piece! I managed to stop them from shoveling it in their mouths! Well, I think Henry shoveled, Kellan is just content analyzing it.
Next up, taking Daddy to the ER to get his knee checked. We loaded up the boys and drove to our old neighborhood where there is an ER. I dropped Tim off and took the boys home to get ready for bed. Our friend and old neighbor, Dave, so kindly came and picked Tim up and brought him home with a brace and new pair of crutches. Nothing broken, just a bad bone bruise!  What a night!!
Happy Halloween!!

Bittersweet Brunch

Probably one of our last family get togethers for a long while!  Coco and Bryan are moving to Chicago at the end of November. The Blair's had us all over for brunch and some play time. Always a loud and crazy bunch! We'll miss our get togethers!

Coco and Jenny have both been such dear friends! So many fond memories together. We'll look forward to some Chicago trips!

Kellan, Ollie and Wyatt-great friends!
Buds, for a lifetime!
Lilly's a girl that knows how to hang with the boys!

~On a side note: Happy 12th Anniversary to my #1 guy! Looking forward to the next 12! We went to dinner at a new restaurant, Grandale Farm in Hillsborough. Tucked in the hills, very quaint, fresh, organic food.  Enjoyed the evening out!

Lovin the woolly bear!
Hee Hee , that tickles!

Kellan played really hard and well on his last day. He scored 3 goals and was so proud!! Good job buddy!!

Henry and Wes have become quite the buds!

Great job Team Striped Horsey Sharks!!

So proud of his first medal!
And Henry so happy to have his goodie bag to eat!

Happy Birthday Regan!

Look at that concentration and balance!
Watch out world, here comes the next super gymnast!  A first time visit to Apex Gymnastics center in Leesburg for us. We were invited for Kellan's friend, Regan's birthday party. The kids got to do an hour of gymnastics, then we had a pizza/cake party.  Kellan loved it and now wants his party here too!

Whoa! Check out the height and leg spread on that jump!
Watch out, here comes Tarzan!
Poor Henry, he had to just watch from behind the glass. I would have left him at home if I had known what it was going to be like. Oh well, he enjoyed some treats from the vending machine and cheering Kellan on!

"Happy Birthday to Regan!"  She's the on to the right of the cake with the black leotard on. Regan and Kellan have discussed their wedding at the lunch table at school. Too funny!  We've known Regan since our days at the first daycare home we took Kellan too. We both then moved to Open Arms.  Ciro, Robbie, Lilly, and Eric were also there. Henry loved being able to participate with eating pizza and cake.

LOA Fall Fest

Open Arms had their first fall festival.  They had fun games and prizes(candy) for the kids, face painting, crafts, moon bounce, raffles, food, etc.  The weather was perfect too!  We met a few of Kellan's friends there, so fun was had by all!

Loving his cool orange spider!

The highlight was the arrival of the firetruck. The boys checked out every inch of it and I think Kellan asked the fireman about every single knob, switch and piece of equipment. He got a true test!

October Variety

We enjoyed having "Uncle Duck" (Chuck) and Gail over for dinner. Good friends of ours since we've lived here in VA. It's been way too long since we've last seen them. They were excited to see our new home and the boys. The boys happily showed off for them. Henry tried on his knight costume.

Chuck and Kellan

We got booed a couple nights ago, so the boys helped me pick out and make some bags for 2 other neighbors.

Pouting Henry
Ready to go, it's dark out

The boys out helping our neighbors cut a tree down. Not sure if they really helped or just got in the way.

I think there is a boy in that wagon, or maybe just a pile of leaves
More friends for dinner. Our old neighbors, the Browns (Dave, Laura and Ruthie).  Ruth still goes to the same daycare as Henry, so they are good buds!

Cuddled together watching a show while the parents catch up!

Henry had a bump on his head, so insisted on a bandaid. He looks pretty pathetic!  Yes he still has a binky, but really it's just for bedtime! ;)
