Baby Loves Disco

How did we spend our Valentine's Day? Well, we went to the Disco of course! A Baby Disco! They think of everything these days. So we trekked downtown DC to a nightclub called Rock and Roll Hotel which they had all decked out with balloons, bubbles, disco ball and disco music. Tim and I felt like we were back in college. Except we were partying at 2pm instead of 2am!! The kids loved it and bee bopped around (well as much as one can for not being able to walk). I think the balloons were the most fascinating part. Our friends Coco, Bryan and Kellan's friend Oliver were in attendance. A little later our other friends Tiffany, Brett and Brady came too, but our camera had died by that point (another story that we won't discuss), so we missed out on some pictures of them. www.babylovesdisco.com if you are interested, they just might be in your area too!

Oliver and Kellan competing for the balloon.

On stage exploring the little tents they had set up.

Here's Kellan figuring out the hula-hoop.

Oh, he's getting all fancy on us and doing two!

Go Kellan, Go Kellan, it's your party! :)

My New (Old) Favorite Toy

It's the crazy ball popper and I love it! I was a little scared of it when I first got this for my birthday way back in November, but I have recently rediscovered it and WOW, is it ever fun! I think it drives Mommy a little bonkers, but oh well. I don't think she knows how to take the batteries out, so shhhh, don't tell her.

WWF

A favorite game of mine is to wrestle with Harmony. She usually wins, but I put up a pretty good fight. Today we started the battle over my sock. We tugged back and forth on that for awhile, then we decided to play tug-o-war with her toy. I giggle lots and loud which then prompts Harmony to go into "attack" mode with the licking. Usually Mom or Dad then have to step in to separate us. I don't think Harmony realizes what she has in store for her when I really start walking. :)

Sugarloaf Mt

It was a picture perfect day on Sunday, so we headed to Sugarloaf Mt, about 20 miles NW of us. You can always see this mountain off in the distance traveling west of Leesburg, it's beautiful. They have a park area with lots of hiking trails. Kellan loves to ride in the backpack because it gives him a "bird's eye" view of everything. He's pointing in the sky at one of the many airplanes or birds he's seen.

Mom and Dad's Date Night

A date...what's that? A night out without the child, adult time, and time alone with my honey! Tim and I went to a yummy dinner/fundraiser for our church Saturday night. It was held at a posh country club in our area. It was a festive laui theme, hence the lay around my neck. Of course we didn't take any pictures while there, so we had a little photo session when we got home. We were feeling a quite goofy. A friend of ours watched Kellan for the evening. Coco (my friend) and I decided to start up a babysit swat once a month so we can start dating our hubbies again. They have a son, Oliver, who is a month younger than Kellan. They are buds too. It's been working out great!

I didn't do it, Harmony did

It's time for some heavy duty cupboard latches! Kellan now knows where we keep the cereal boxes, on his level. Out they spilled. Kellan couldn't eat them fast enough, it was too funny watching him scoop them up, two fistfuls at a time. Then there's Harmony, munching as fast as she could too. We had to capture the moment.

Weekend Fun

We had a fun time last weekend hanging out together.
After my morning nap I was ready to go

We decided to go to the pool on Saturday. Mommy & I have swim class starting next week so we'd better practice

We also went to Disneyland on Sunday, or was it the American History Museum? First time seeing Dumbo and maybe next time I can go for a ride! I also got to make my first speech as President!

We ended the day with a walk on the National Mall and it was too much for me to stay awake for the ride home :)
