Jedi Knights in Training

Our Jedi Knight, Kellan Patrick, getting ready for his 5 year Star Wars themed birthday party. We're having his party 2 days before his actual birthday because with Thanksgiving on Thursday, it makes for a busy week for everyone involved.  Plus we have A.Patty here to help us!  We went back and forth on what to do for his birthday this year and Mom and Dad made the executive decision to just have it at our house. We have more space now and I just don't agree with spending all that money having it somewhere else every year. Even though it probably costs the same once you add everything up. Oh well....my fondest memories of birthdays are ones at home! Kellan invited his 2 best buds from school, Ciro and Robbie, his good friends Ollie, Wyatt and Cody.  And all of their families were included too. We had 12 kids total, 11 adults. Adds up fast!

Ready for battle
Mommy's sweetie!
Daddy was in charge of games. A balloon obstacle set up in the basement for the Jedi Knight training
Pinterest, you are great with ideas!  Saw these light sabres made of pool noodles/duct tape/electrical tape. Had to shop around a few places to find the out of season noodles. Dick's Sporting Goods had to pull the fork lift out to dig them out from up high. Thank you!!  Daddy spent some time making them look awesome!!

Ready, Set, Go...
Emily, looking good with her pink
Let's go Ciro!
Luke's ready for battle!
Henry on the prowl, ready to pounce!
Way to go Kellan!

Say "Ice Cream!"

"Happy Birthday to Kellan"

Sparkler candles are tough to blow out

A super cool Lego Star Wars cake (made by Giant)
After cake and icecream, time for the pinata. It's Darth Vader of course!  We stuffed it a bit too much, as only 3 kids got to give it a whack before the head came apart.

Get it Henry!

Candy for everyone!

And Kellan's favorite part....presents!!  A very fun party indeed!
