Tim braved the cold, Cleveland weather for his annual Browns game. His buddy's shirt sums it up I think. Just look at the dreary weather at the stadium! Brrr! I'm not a huge fan, can you tell? But my hubby is and always will be!!

Christmas with the Lanzes
There's nothing like sitting on G'ma's lap to read books!!
A friendly game of ring-around-the rosey with G'ma, Jayde, Brooklyn and Breanne.
After a third Christmas celebration and many presents, Kellan was just ready to sit and play with the animals G'ma already had at her house. He wasn't too interested in tearing any more gift wrap off. I'm sure this will all change next year!
Kellan and Brooklyn got "his and hers" tricycles from G'ma and G'pa. Come on Spring, Kellan's ready to ride! Now his legs just need to grow an inch or two more.
G'pa not being a good sport during the hour long Risk game. Actually, it looks like at this point he's throwing his hands up and saying "I quit!". Then there is Brendan, ready to take on whoever should get in his way. He's ready to play with the Browns!
Christmas with the Burkes
Do you see something similar in these pictures?? Kellan seems to have a mouthful of cookies!! Clearly they are within his little reach! At one point in the evening, his Aunt Ann said to him, go ask your Mom if you can have a cookie. Well, he promptly marched up to me and looked up at me with his pleading eyes "Mommy, cookie pease??" How could I say no when he asked so sweetly?! Of course, several cookies later + a long passed bedtime = one crazy, delirious toddler! (See boy in gift bag photo)
Yipee, more "babas" to play with (that's what Kellan still calls animals)
I love this trio of photos. First he's getting help from cousin Ben with his big present. The facial expression tells it all, he's very excited about this cool chainsaw gift! Love the goggles that go with it!!
Kellan, that's G'ma's Snugglie, not yours!!
Jesus shops at Target too
While home in Cleveland visiting Kellan's Burke grandparents, he took a strong liking to playing with this miniature wooden nativity set they had. They also had this mini cooper car that Kellan loved. Well, Baby Jesus fit nicely in this car. So G'ma asked him where Baby Jesus was going. Kellan responded "Baby Jesus going to Target". Maybe Mommy is taking Kellan to Target too much?!

Snow, Snow, and More Snow
So the big snowstorm started Friday night and we woke up to about 4 inches, that's the first picture on our deck. The second deck picture is around 4pm. It hasn't stopped all day. Not sure the total amount yet, but it looks like we have at least 10 inches and counting. It's beautiful!! Good thing we don't have anywhere we have to be! We are having fun playing indoors together and a little outside too. We'll keep you posted.
My First Gingerbread Train
Our project for the day...a gingerbread train. Kellan had great fun putting his choo-choo together with the very sticky frosting and many candy pieces. We sampled a little of everything of course. It didn't quite end up looking like the one on the box, but pretty close! He insists on now playing with it when we are sitting at the table. He just likes to rearrange the candies. Surprisingly, he hasn't tried to eat too much of it!

Sick Puppy!
Kellan had tubes placed in his ears bright and early Monday morning. He's had several ear infections over the past year and this is the next step, so we went forward with it. He was a real trooper. We woke him at 530am, changed his diaper and put him in the car for our 615am arrival time at the Outpatient Surgery Center. Usually his first request when getting up is "mik" (milk), but he didn't seem to mind too much that we couldn't fulfill this request. We brought lots of distractions since we knew we'd have about an hour and a half wait time for the actual procedure (books, animals, blankies, etc). We were both dying for our own "milk", aka coffee, but knew we couldn't do that in front of Kellan. Not one tear or complaint from our little sweetie until he woke up from the anesthesia. I think at this point he was just more mad that we woke him up a second time. They gave him this cute little doggy, Pippit, beforehand and he is now a favorite. Kellan is very much into stuffed animals these days. We need to take a picture of his crib, because on any given night, there are at least a dozen animals sleeping with him. So we were done and back home on the couch by 9am. Played for a bit and down he went for a 4 hour nap.
Kellan talking with Daddy at work later that day letting him know he is okay and feeling good.
Our good feelings didn't last long when Tuesday morning he woke at 6am with a 103+ fever. Doctor called, Motrin given and the snuggling began with our sick puppy. His fevers have continued the last couple days and after 2 trips to the doctor and to the xray, we now have a small case of pneumonia. I think this is all coincidental with the ear tubes b/c he has had a cold and dry cough for the past week. They decided to go ahead, not thinking he was in danger. Maybe not the best decision, but I think it was inevitable. So we are now on antibiotics and feeling lousy! Poor Daddy, wants to help, but Kellan will have little to do with him when feeling bad. We have had lots of snuggling time and I just remind myself that I someday won't be able to do this when he is too big! It breaks my heart though to see him feel so icky! Tomorrow's a new day...

O Christmas Tree
Sunday afternoon we finally got our Christmas tree. We went to our usual place in Leesburg, they always have a good assortment, friendly help, etc. Plus we had to get our elf pictures. I think Kellan has grown a bit from last year?! I couldn't get him to just sit nicely like last year though!
