Time for Henry's 2 year check up. He hammed it up for me as he usually does when the camera comes out! He immediately wants to see the pictures of himself afterwards. He checked out perfectly healthy, averaging 90% in all areas. 30.2 pounds= 85%, an even 3 feet tall=88%, and a nice big head at 20 inches= 96%. Lots of brains in that big head!! :)

He was a very cooperative patient, saying "ahh" when he's supposed to, following the light with his eyes, giggling when his belly was poked, running around the room when the doctor asked him to walk, and showing off his chatting capabilities! This was one area we were concerned about at his 18 month check up. His verbal skills were a little slow to develop, I'm most certain it's because his older brother won't let him get a word in! Henry's words have blossomed in the past couple months, now putting words together. He can say just about anything now if prompted (and Kellan loves to prompt him into saying all those "potty" words that boys for some reason love to say). No more pointing and grunting at things. "me doo-it" is a favorite. He finally is able to say Kellan "Kan-kan", which has been a very hard one for him. He loves his big brother and seeks his approval and attention. They play together pretty well, although Henry is certainly starting to be the non-sharer of the two. Kellan often gives into Henry's crying (screaming) and gives him what he wants. I discourage this so that Henry learns! They also are happy playing two different things. I have enjoyed watching their relationship grow and often sit back and let them figure (battle) issues out. This is what siblings do, right?! I'm still in denial that my "baby" is 2! Tim and I are open (depending on the hour) to having more (one more) child and we'll see what God has planned. Right now, we are so thankful and blessed to have these healthy boys in our lives!
