Sunday morning we packed up, visited the horses one more time and got one last photo of the Tyner's and boys. Thank you for a great, fun-filled weekend!
We stopped at the Virginia Safari Park on our way home. Wow! We weren't sure what to expect by looking at the website, but it far exceeded our expectations as soon as we pulled in! We bought a large bucket of food to feed the animals, so had our windows down in anticipation. Whoa! The animals came a runnin as soon as they saw us (its a drive thru park). We soon realized that the llamas will do anything to get at the food. They had their heads stuck all the way into our car. It was so funny! Then Henry let out a loud scream and we decided it'd be best to leave the windows closed!
The llamas would just stand in front of the car so we would stop, then they'd run around to the window hoping for a nibble. They definitely had tactic!
The sign for the camels said, "We like to steel and eat buckets of food, feed us anyway!" That's exactly what they did with our bucket.
A very majestic looking animal. Kellan and Henry liked the wild zebras.
Oh my!! The buffaloes were as big as our suv and they didn't move. After a bit of nudging with the car, they eventually moved away, but not after staring us down with their enormous eyes!
After driving thru the park, we stopped at the petting zoo to give the little goats and pigs the rest of our food.
