Sept 29th-Off to Ohio to visit the Lanz's and the Burke's. Kellan gets so excited to see all the grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles. I try not to tell him we are going too far in advance because it's so hard to explain time to him and "in 5 days", just doesn't work well. Both boys traveled so well. Henry pretty much just sleeps or happily looks out the window babbling. Kellan keeps occupied with toys, books or the dvd player. We made it to G'ma Lanz's house around 7pm Weds, just enough time to play some and then hit the hay. Tim dropped us off and then went to his parents to help out. His Dad had hernia repair surgery and did great, which we are so thankful!
Thursday we (me and the boys) hung out at G'mas. Played outside with G'pa and with all the fun toys they have. It's so nice to travel now and not have to bring anything with us, b/c there is more than enough to keep Kellan occupied. His favorite is this bag of various jungle animals. He could play with these all day and night! Henry likes them too. The Lanz cousins came over later in the afternoon to play with Kellan and Henry. It was a perfect sunny day, so much of the time was spent outdoors. After dinner, we finally got to go meet Kellan and Henry's new 2 week old cousin, Bradley Christopher. What a sweetie! A head full of blond hair. Something new for our family since most everyone has dark hair. Even though Henry is only 7 months old, I had forgotten how tiny he once was. How quickly they grow!
Friday we were all able to get together for an early birthday celebration for G'ma Lanz. It's always so fun to have everyone together. We now are a group of 18! The kids outnumber the adults, yikes!
Always sad to leave, but Saturday morning was our time to head to the other grandparents house and to see all the Burke's/Nortz's.
