Christmas Eve

 

We had a super fun day Christmas Eve. After breakfast we took some cookies over to our old neighbors, Doug and Missy. We hadn't seen them in a few months, so stopped to chat for a bit. While there the snow started coming down. Dave, Laura and Ruth (our other old neighbors) happened to be outside and caught site of us, so we stopped for a few moments to catch come snowflakes on our tongues. Next stop: Starbucks for some hot drinks (for the adults anyway). The kids wanted smoothies. They don't mind the cold! Brrrr...

After quick naps, we bundled up again and headed to the movies. We weren't sure if it was going to be really busy, or no one there. Well, it was just us and one other family. We saw Monsters Inc 3D, the kids 1st 3D movie (and ours). Popcorn and candy all around. Pretty much our dinner! Kellan enjoyed it a bit more then Henry. Henry decided he didn't want to wear his glasses anymore about half way through and got a bit bored. It was a little long for his attention span.

  

We traditionally open our stockings Christmas Eve and this was tough for Kellan to have to wait, all day!  Finally the time has arrived. Dinner is done, jammies are on (matching snowmen of course).

And now it's time for bed. Santa has to make his rounds (and the parents have some work to do!).  Our decorated cookies that we thankfully saved for Santa in the freezer, some carrots for the reindeer and a glass of milk to wash it all down. I think Santa will like it!!
