Kellan and I had a date day at the Baltimore Aquarium along with Aunt Ann and cousins Ben and Sam. They are here visiting for the week. I knew that the aquarium didn't allow strollers and would be very busy, so Henry is staying home (so we don't have to chase him!) Kellan is always glad to get some extra special attention!
We had a 2 hour wait to get into the aquarium, so we walked around the harbor and ate lunch at Potbelly's. It was a beautiful, breezy day. Kellan made me nervous though running along the edges trying to keep up with his older cousins. They were very helpful in keeping track of him with me.
Too bad this picture turned out a bit dark. Kellan was quite fascinated by the sharks. He was watching them intently and I saw him shiver as one swam by. I had to laugh! He told me they were staring at him. And I'm sure they were!
We didn't get tickets to the dolphin show because all they had left were for late in the day. But we found this small alcove to watch the show from down below. I thought this was way better then seeing the show from up top. The dolphins would swim right toward us and we could see them doing all their flips and jumps. Very cool! Kellan loved this!
Near the end of the day and Kellan is getting a bit cranky! It's a big place with lots of people. Kellan is giving me his pouty face here in the jellyfish exhibit. I have decided that places like this are really meant for kids ages 6-8+. Kellan was interested in each exhibit for about 1 minute before he wanted to move to the next. Plus little legs get tired easily! Overall, very fun day! We were all tired by the time we got back home.
