Our first Easter egg hunt of the season. Yes, there are multiple, or at least there were last year. Not sure there are going to be as many this year! We drug the boys around house hunting all afternoon, so this was their treat for being so patient. This hunt is at a local high school put on by the seniors to help pay for end of year activities. A bit pricey, but going towards a good cause. Baskets in hand and on head, we're off to play some games before the hunt begins. It was a gorgeous sunny day!
Henry starts off and knows exactly what to do, just not very speedily! He was particular about which egg he picked up and even shook it to make sure there was something in it. Smart kid! I had to encourage to pick up faster since the music didn't last long. He then happily opened each egg to see what was inside. (I did not like the candy selection, many jaw breakers, bubble gum, and hard chewy candy. Not very little kid friendly!).
Next up, Kellan and he's ready. His age group could only go out and pick one egg up at a time. Lots of running back and forth. It was a riot! Way to burn some energy, go Kellan!
On the next round, they could go out and get 2 eggs at a time. The best part was checking out the loot in each egg. He made a friend during the event and they had fun racing each other. After about 3 rounds, we were done, exhausted and ready to go home!
