I took the boys to the annual truck days in the town of Herndon where they bring out all the heavy equipment (snowplows, garbage trucks, dump trucks, street cleaners, etc) for kids to climb on and in. It's a boys dream!! (Mommy thinks it's pretty cool too) Perfect sunny, spring day. Kellan was hesitant at first since it was so busy and hard to get on things. Required a bit of patience which 3 year olds are limited in. But it got close to lunch time and started clearing out. Henry was very excited to get on too.
It didn't take long for Kellan to find the snack table where there were cookies, lemonade and chips. Why not, it's lunch time after all ?!!
Goofy Kellan. He insisted on having the door closed. He wanted the real experience of driving the skidster!
Energy was burned from running back and forth in the pretend walkway. Buttons could be pushed and Henry thought this was pretty neat.
Henry is also happy just playing in some gravel he found too!
Hard hats on, ready to drive. Kellan kept insisting I should "get in the back, Mommy". This truck's horn still worked, so that was fun! (and annoying!) :)
