Reston Zoo

Off to the Reston Zoo. A perfect size zoo for 2 small children and in close distance to our home. We were going to head downtown DC to the big zoo, but thought otherwise, since today is Sept 11th. There is still that fear with living so close to DC. It's a brisk fall -like morning, so Kellan is ready with his hoodie.

First stop, the monkeys. We know we already have one of our own!

We bought the bucket of food to feed all those "starving" goats. Henry watching big bro and the crazy goat.

Ready for the Buckeyes! Yep, Daddy is recording it at home.

Of course we have to ride the "rides" at the zoo.

Kellan loved the turtles and baby pot-bellied pigs.

Climbed aboard the wagon ride to see some of the bigger animals. They were all so friendly and eager to get at the buckets of food.

This was the point that Kellan wanted to exit the wagon. As I said, they were very friendly. We had to watch the horns because this animal did not realize how big his horns were or where they were at all times. Henry squealed with delight on the ride, just because he can and there were people close to him to show off for. Our happy, flirty guy!
