Chincoteague

We took the opportunity early this summer to go to Chincoteague. We arrived Thursday afternoon to Jack and Gunilla's house with them waiting for us. It's been a few years since we have stayed with them, usually we are there all alone. We were looking forward to spending some time with them and enjoying Gunilla's cooking (which is gourmet and yummy!!). Kellan had been talking about going to the beach for days and days, so he was excited to get out of the car.

Day 1 at the beach: Kellan took to the sand like any other little boy. He was not so sure of the water and waves, so we didn't push it. One of these days we won't be able to get him out of the water I'm sure. He was very content playing with his buckets and toys in the sand. We had perfect sunny weather with that nice ocean breeze. There's nothing like breathing in that salty air that really refreshes the brain!! At least it did mine!

Henry took some good naps on the beach and played in his pop up tent. He did so well!

Day 2 at the beach: See Day 1! More of the same. Since it was Saturday, it was a little more crowded. We sat next to another family that had 2 girls. One that was 19 months (Hayden), that Kellan enjoyed playing with, and a 5 week old. I thought I was being brave taking a 4 month old! But I guess 5 weeks is easier, since all they do is sleep, right?! They were from the Northern VA area too so we enjoyed their company. Another fun day at the beach!
