We spent Labor Day at a new spot for us. Burke Lake is about 45 minutes from us and we have been wanting to go after hearing how great it is. It's a 200+ acre lake with a trail all around it, many picnic areas, a golf course, a carousal and a miniature train. We started off by riding the train, about a 10 minute ride along the lake and thru a tunnel. Kellan was a little nervous about it at times because it did go pretty fast. We watched the carousal, but didn't ride. We walked the trail , then enjoyed a picnic lunch on a hillside overlooking the train tracks. Kellan enjoyed waving to the people on the train as they rode past. They got a kick out of him too!
