A Kellan Reunion

Lodi Corn Festival Parade with G'ma and G'pa

We arrived at G & G Lanz's home Thursday afternoon so anxious to see our Kellan.  Kellan had stayed with Auntie Darlene and Uncle Jeff since the weekend before when we came home for cousin Nick's baptism.  Since Tim and I both had to work Mon, Tues and Weds, we thought it would be the perfect time to have Kellan stay and get some quality cousin time in.  He had so much fun and was such a big boy.  We Skyped a couple times, talked only twice a day. It felt so odd to have only one child at home. Henry didn't quite know what to do with himself without big brother home. He cried one time, missing his "Kewin".  Kellan had one big cry one evening Auntie Darlene reported, but overall was a super good boy!  I think we've started a new summer tradition.  So we arrived and we were greeted with big hugs and kisses from Kellan. He said a few times "Mommy, I was missin you" (then my heart melted!).  I think about 10 minutes went by until the first argument over a toy started between the brother.(but not before they gave each other some lovin)  Oh well....

The parade started with a very long line of firetrucks that blew their horns non-stop. We had to cover our ears they were so loud.  It was really hot outside, so many of them had sprayers and squirt guns going off.

Grandpa had to buy a box of fresh, hot donuts at the festival before we left, so what a perfect bedtime snack: donuts and milk.  Yum!!
