Happy 4th! We celebrated as we usually do, at home. It's a nice perk to live across the street from the park where they do the big fireworks. Everyone comes to us! We had our friends, Chuck, Gail and Travis over for a bbq. Uncle Duck as Kellan calls him. Our next door neighbors joined us and the Wood cousins too, whom Kellan adores! It was another hot one, so the baby pool came out. Kellan splashed around in it some, but the dogs enjoyed it more. I should say dog, singular, since our dog doesn't like water (that must be the part that's not lab). Chuck and Gail brought their dog Marley (a black lab) who loved the pool. Fireworks started around 930pm, first in our front yard, then the big show across the street. Kellan quickly ran inside when they started. I was pretty certain he wouldn't like them. He wanted to sit in the kitchen, far from them. We did convince him to watch them from our front window, but it took a lot of convincing. He flat out said, "I scared, Mommy!" We gave each other lots of hugs! :)
