Last Sunday was another gorgeous fall day, so we took a hike at the site of the Balls Bluff Battle. It's a beautiful park right on the Potomac River just minutes from our house. The trail is relatively smooth and flat, great for little feet to run and collect acorns. That's exactly what Kellan enjoyed doing, trying to collect every single acorn he saw. We all had pocketfuls! We then climbed down to the river and threw them in one by one. All little boys need our sticks, stones and a few acorns and they're content!!
