Aunt Patty comes to town

Aunt Patty and her boyfriend Mike came to visit us for a few days. Mike lives in CT, so drove down to meet Patty here. He hadn't been to DC in years so wanted to pack in as much as he could and that's what they did. After dinner Friday night, Tim drove them downtown to the Mall so they could see the monuments at night. That's our favorite time to show visitors. They are so beautiful all lit up. There they are in front of Lincoln. Saturday morning we took them to the Udvar-Hazy Museum(part of the Air and Space) that is 20 miles from us, by the Dulles airport, and took in all the many airplanes. Kellan enjoyed this, oh, for about an hour. Saturday night we had a sitter lined up so Mom and Dad could enjoy a night out on the town with their guests. We took them to Georgetown for dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, then we had tickets to the Nationals game. This was a new experience for us too, we hadn't yet been to the new Nationals stadium. A friend got us free tickets from her Dad's work. They were about 10 rows up from 1st base! Too bad it rained most of the evening, but it did lighten up just enough for us to sit and watch the game for 4 innings. We took a few shots with the President statues, then as we were leaving, got a few shots with the "live" Teddy Roosevelt. A very fun evening!! Sunday, Mike and Patty went downtown to tour more museums all day while we stayed back. Kellan loved getting to know Mike and playing with his Aunt Patty. I'm not sure why I don't have any good pictures of him with them. Who's blog is this anyway?!
